SUMMER holiday
indoor picnic
July
July
Indoor Picnic – We had a great day with our families at our rainy-day picnic, which didn’t spoil our fun. We welcomed new families from the Scottish refugee council and enjoyed some wellbeing activities as well as arts and crafts. The children particularly liked the Paper Airplane making and flying competition, it’s amazing how much fun you can have with some paper and pens. This was a great opportunity for parents to connect and get a cuppa, the feedback was very positive and it was a pleasure to see so many smiling faces on the day.

picnic in the park
August
Picnic in the park – Thankfully, we got a dry day for our picnic at Glasgow Green with our families, some who had never visited the park before and were very enthusiastic about getting a chance to explore. Then we headed off to the National play day hosted by Peek, there really was something for everyone on the day and the food was great too. The children had a great time exploring and taking part in the activities on offer, they seemed to particularly enjoy the chalk dash obstacle course. A huge thank you to Peek for inviting us along, it was great to see so many families out enjoying themselves and getting stuck into the messy play on offer. Definitely worth it to see so many happy faces.

Take Time On the Road in North Ayrshire – Thank you to Dionne and Vicki for inviting us along to their roadshow events, we had a great time meeting families at the various events including Largs, Saltcoats and Kilbirnie. I have to say I particularly enjoyed seeing the baby bunnies at the animal handling stall. It was good to have an opportunity to connect with other organisations and we have made lots of new connections. Happy to have been included in such a successful event.
